Inspired by Greenaway artworks, I started an long term investigation on body parts. I have a particular way of engraving. I make from one to ten irregular copies and then I work each piece differently and manually using a variety of techniques. The result is that each copy is a single work by itself but at the same time it belongs to a group of engravings with similar theme or style. This method is used for what I call “Medicine Book” which is inspired in Foucault “The birth of the clinic”. In these engravings I focus my interest on two aspects: the image as intermediary between the doctor and the patient (no physical contact at all) and the obsession in healing pathologies instead of patients.
